Summary
This edifying, never-before-seen investigation is the first on the Amniyat, the secret services of the Islamic State. Based on the book by Matthieu Suc, a journalist with Mediapart’s investigative unit, this documentary recounts the career path, indoctrination and military preparation of these spies of terror. Behind the attacks of November 13, 2015 in Paris, a group of terrorists with diverse origins. They ranged in age from 20 to 31, and committed the deadliest attacks in France since the Second World War. The toll: 130 dead and 413 wounded. All were members of the Amniyat. Behind this term lie the secret services of the Islamic State, split into two, in the manner of the FBI and CIA in the United States or the DGSI and DGSE in France. On the one hand, the Amniyat carried out a domestic mission aimed at detecting spies on their Syrian and Iraqi territories, and on the other, between 2013 and 2015, formed a veritable “attacks bureau”, with several French speakers occupying key positions. Yet this highly organized structure has long passed under the radar of Western intelligence services.
